Chapter 3

Configuring Color and Text with CSS

Hands On Practice 3.2 P.83

In this exercise I learned about embedded styles. You can apply CSS to elements such as the <h1>, <h2>, <p>, <ul>, and <li> tags. A monochromatic color scheme was used for the finished exercise. This means a blend of different versions of the same color. For example, a lighter purple vs. a darker purple, etc. Click here to go to the Color Blender. For this exercise all I did was put the following code below the <title> tag.

<style type="text/css">
body { background-color: #E6E6FA;
color: #191970;
}
h1 { background-color: #191970;
color: #E6E6FA;
}
h2 { background-color: #AEAED4;
color: #191970;
}
</style>
