Chapter 6

Page Layout with CSS

Hands On Practice 6.1 P.217

In this exercise I learned about div tags. How they work and how you can nest a box within a box. It also shows how CSS Positioning Properties work. Hands On Practice 6.1 has several exercies.

The first exercise shows how normal flow works. You have two div elements displaying the box model. Whatever you code first shows up first and so on so forth.

In exercise two you have the nested elements showing the box model.

In the third exercise it talks about relative positioning. We are creating an indent of 30px to the left.

The final exercise of Hands on Practice 6.1 talks about Absolute Positioning. It is to specify the location of an element precisely in a browser window.
